A conflict has emerged between the "United States Handball Association" (USHA) and the "World Players of Handball" (WPH) that threatens to divide our already limited membership, threatening the growth and, with that, the survival of our sport.
The document listed below as the "CHA Position Statement" clearly identifies the key issues around this conflict.
Each of the involved parties have, ultimately, the best of intentions for the game. Each has an opinion about the best strategy for achieving those intentions. It is our belief that these intentions and strategies are not inherently in conflict – that it has been the failure to clearly define and consider each of these perspectives that is at the root of this difficulty.
Based on our initial interviews, we further believe that these positions can be integrated to create a shared understanding and agreement about the best path forward – one that optimizes the talents and contributions of each perspective to create a better game for each of us and, literally, for the world.
Your opinions matter most if they are voiced to the right people. We have compiled a list of names and email addresses of the decision makers involved in this conflict, and we have an opinion poll and feedback form that you can use if that is how you prefer to make your voice heard.
Please take the time to read the position statement, then, at a minimum, respond to the opinion poll. If you choose to send feedback or email to the "deciders", even better.
