Thanks to Mike Kearney for submitting this great write-up

Congratulations to Fort Collins for winning Position Day and Sherwin’s Nomads for winning the Toilet Bowl.

On December 9th Position Day at the APEX courts featured Jeffco A &B, Independents and Fort Collins teams.  FC dominated play by winning seven out of eight matches.   There were several competitive matches that went to tie breakers.  The “Iron Man” of the day was Armando Ibarra Sr.  who played and won both A singles and double matches that went to tie breakers.  We all went to Senior Sol’s in Arvada to celebrate afterwards.

The Toilet Bowl at the DAC was also held on December 9th.  There were 44 participants from 5 teams with 17 matches played.  Sherwin's Nomads took home the toilet bowl trophy due to the most total losses.  Pizza and beer was served up at the DAC.  Thanks to the DAC for hosting event.

As always thanks to the Captains for leading their teams and all the players that make this league possible.  I hope to see you on the courts soon.

Captains, the Hall of Fame committee is looking for nominations for its annual awards.  There are three awards, one for Contributor of the Year, Player of the Year and the Most Improved Player.  Please send your nominations to me or Stan Dunlavy with corroborating information with the nomination so we can pass on to the HOF Committee.  We need these nominations by the of January 2018.

Thanks
